Infrastructure Upgrade & Expansion
NeurodiverCity C.I.C., in partnership with Schneider Electric, proposed and executed a project to enhance the IT infrastructure and monitoring systems for a client. The goal was to improve system reliability, ensure compliance, and streamline operations, enabling the client to maintain business continuity with minimal downtime.

Project Requirement
The client required a solution to address the following:

Insufficient storage capacity and RAM across multiple servers. -
Outdated operating systems nearing end-of-life, creating compliance risks.

Semi-operational backup systems and lack of advanced disaster recovery capabilities.

Lack of centralized monitoring for critical systems and resources.

Need for standard operating procedures (SOPs) and staff training to enhance operational efficiency.
Solution & Result
Solution:
- Storage Expansion: Supplied and fitted a 120TB Network Accessible Storage (NAS) device with an expansion unit, enabling greater backup retention and smoother data transactions.
- Backup System Upgrade: Upgraded Acronis Cyber Backup licenses to advanced versions, improving backup configurations, automating processes, and reducing data loss risks.
- Monitoring System: Implemented a centralized monitoring server to track errors, resource utilization, and system health across all devices, with real-time alerts and notifications.
- Operating System Upgrades: Upgraded all physical servers to Windows Server 2022, ensuring compliance and future-proofing the infrastructure.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Developed and implemented SOPs and checklists for fault detection and issue resolution, minimizing operational risks.
- Hardware Upgrades: Supplied and installed additional HDDs to enhance server capacity and fault tolerance.
- Staff Training: Provided on-site training for key personnel on the new systems, including monitoring tools and backup software.

- Big Data Management: The 120TB NAS device enabled long-term data retention, faster backup and recovery operations, and future scalability.
